Drainage
The City has contracted with Metro Sewer District (MSD) the responsibility of maintaining all water and storm sewer related drainage within the City. Drainage problems should be referred to MSD at 587-0603.

Trash
Garbage is picked up twice a week at the back door. There is a once-a-week recycling pickup at the back door as well. The City loans each resident a recycling container and recyclables are sorted by the City's contractor when they are picked up - residents do not need to sort such items themselves. Yard waste (leaves and grass) are picked up weekly at the curb. Such materials must be placed separately in containers, plastic bags, or in special paper lawn and leaf bags which can be found at most area stores. In addition, large junk items are picked up every week, but we ask that if you have a large pickup, please call our waste hauler, Rumpke Sanitation, at 568-3800 so they can alert their crews. Residents who miss a pickup of any kind should also call Rumpke 502-568-3800, but if you miss several pickups, please alert City Hall, 228-1121.

To be eligible to vote in Oldham County, you must be registered. To register you must be a US citizen; a KY resident for at least 28 days; 18 years old by the date of the next general election; mentally competent; not a convicted felon; and may not claim the right to vote anywhere else outside of Kentucky.

License your dog
All dogs over 4 months old must be licensed annually and vaccinated against rabies. You may go to any Oldham County Veterinarian Clinic or if you bring proof of the rabies vaccination then the Oldham County Animal Control Shelter will issue you a dog license. Dog licenses cost $5.00 for spayed/neutered animals and $10.00 for fertile animals. To obtain a license from Oldham County Animal Control please call their office from 9:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday.
