Sean and I had a perfect wedding. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We highly recommend all of the following vendors who contributed to such a wonderful celebration. Here is our experience:

bulletCeremony Place: St. Agnes Catholic Church -As beautiful as any Cathedral I've seen in Europe.
bulletFlowers: The Blossom Shop - Fresh and colorful. Very knowledgeable staff.
bulletVocalists and Violin Trio: Carmel Bowman, Teresa Hundley, Amy Hettinger. Their voices sound like flutes and their violins sound like angels singing. Amazing.
bulletBrass Quintet: Masterpiece Brass -  Girls, there is nothing like the feeling of walking into the church and the trumpets start to play and you float down the aisle. And it's the full brass sound pumping out the wedding march that will put you on cloud nine as you leave the church.
bulletReception: Farmington Historic Home - We had a tour arranged for the guests of Thomas Jefferson's home, which added another touch of fun.
bulletEntertainment: Yancey Entertainment Services - Yancey made the party a PARTY. He had everybody dancing. He really knows how to read a crowd. I recommend him over any other DJ.
bulletFood: Catered by Marks Feed Store - A definite crowd pleaser. We had ham and pulled pork sandwiches with potato casserole, fruit salad and pasta salad. The guests liked it too much - we ran out of bar-be-que, which was my only complaint about Marks. Pat is the coordinator there and is quite helpful in the planning process.
bulletWine and Beer: Liquor Barn - Mark's Feed store has bartenders that can pour it and you can bring it from whatever store you like.
bulletRental of tent and chairs: Rental Depot - Nice selection, helpful staff. We even rented a wishing well for a decoration.
bulletCake decorator: Carolyn Flemmons at the Greenery - Carolyn has been decorating cakes for thirty years. She knows how to really present a cake.
bulletCake baker: Sean's grandmother
bulletCake toppers: ordered online from collector's websites, and hand made.
bulletEngagement ring and wedding band inscriptions: Seng Jewelers in the Starks Building, ask for Barb Hill
bulletPhotographer: Advantage Photography Kevin Kramer from Michigan 248-363-5500 www.advantagephoto.com
bulletVideographer: Videosculptor.com I highly recommend this company. I looked around at other videographers and reviewed other companies and chose this one because they know how to capture the moment. There was so much happening on my wedding day, that I could not see it all myself, but I was able to see it over and over on the video. We just watched the video on our one year anniversary and I even appreciate it more now. I think you'd regret it if you had a friend tape it on an amateur video because you just can't get the lighting and sound the same as professionals. Every time I hear those vows on the tape, I get teary eyed again. 502-350-1119

Get creative! These are the items I made myself:

bulletVeil
bulletCenterpieces and decorations
bulletBridesmaids bracelets from beads and wire from Dees Crafts. Include an initial bead so each girl's is special.
bulletMakeup
bulletTwo of the cake toppers

Honeymoon:

bulletWe rented Villa Bella in Cozumel Mexico. We rented a private house for the week just north of the only town on the island and had a very relaxing week. A housekeeper comes daily, a house manager can get your groceries, and you can rent a zippy little scooter for island transport. The house has its own pool and path to the beach, a huge master bedroom suite and two other bedrooms, a good size kitchen, and cable television with American channels to watch a movie on rainy days or tune to the music channels and listen to music commercial free. When we woke from siestas we looked out our balcony doors to the the electric blue waters of the Carribbean Sea. Our only negative about the week was that on windy days some rude American kids brought their surf gear to our beach because it is private and on a windy part of the island. The Mexican local people are very friendly and most speak at least a little English. The waters are crystal clear, which was great for our snorkeling trip. The Maya ruins are cool for a daytime adventure. And for dinner the seafood is outstanding whether you are at a Jimmy Buffett blaring beach bar or in a classy restaurant courtyard. There are two groceries on the main road through town if you want to cook at home. There are ATMS to get local currency in town, and most stores take US Dollars anyway. We recommend Villa Bella. The owner's name is Ronen Seri, and he lives in New York. His number is 212-255-6029.
