The Why Behind The Wealth

I've noticed something powerful in my 10 years of coaching entrepreneurs and 23 years as a realtor: the ones who have had lasting success are going after the why behind the wealth, not the money itself.

Building businesses and wealth is really about what that money enables them to do and who they help with it.

Money alone doesn't make us happy, but living out a purpose? That creates fulfillment; fulfillment fuels happiness and motivation.

It pushes great leaders to do more so they can help more. When you connect a compelling Why behind the money to your financial goals, everything changes. You move from going through the motions to building something that matters, which creates momentum. The more financially successful you become, the more lives you get to impact.

If you've been feeling stuck lately, I want you to know: it's not laziness. It's a disconnection from believing what earning the money will ultimately do.

Purpose is that deeper reason you were put on Earth to do—what drives you, gives your work meaning, and guides your decisions. It's more than revenue targets or career milestones. It's the Why behind the wealth.

Here are some examples:

"My purpose is to be a good mom (or dad)."

"My purpose is to help people break the cycle of poverty and build generational wealth."

"My purpose is to give money that funds cancer research so that a cure can be found."

"My purpose is to help the next generation."

"My purpose is to help people believe in themselves."

I'm curious: What's your Big Why?
