The Timeline

3-12 months from
your wedding day

Commit to a location

Find the perfect wedding & reception venue. Now you can announce the date!

Find a dress 

Find the perfect wedding dress you have been dreaming about your whole life. Decide who you want in your bridal party to share in this magical day.

Passports 

This can take some time. Make sure you have at least 6 months before it expires from the date you are to return from your honeymoon, if not you will need to renew it.

Get preapproved 

If your plans are to buy a home before you're married, it's time to call your Realtor (us) so we can get you in touch with our preferred lenders to help make sure your finances are in order.

Watch your credit report 

Setting a budget is very important and doing your best to stick to it is vital so you don't rack up your credit cards. If trying to buy a home while planning a wedding, this is something you will need to stay on top of so you don't lose out on a home you truly love. Working with your agent (us) and your lender as a team will help make this a successful and fun new chapter in your lives.

0-3 Months From Wedding Date

Confirm details 

Confirm dates, times and prices with photographers, DJ's, wedding venue, reception hall, rehearsal dinner, cake, bridal shower, honeymoon, passports, transportation, gift registry, dress alterations, flowers, officiant, hair stylist, nails, bridal party gifts, and hotel details for guests.

Start looking at houses

Think about your wants and needs. Sit down and make a list of what's truly important to you both in your new home. Let your agent (us) know right away so they can updated the homes you are receiving from their website. Schedule a time to start looking at homes!

Say yes to the address 

Make a offer on the home you love! Finalize all your financial documents with the lender for a smooth closing.

Order flowers and food

Decide on the perfect floral arrangements and what your menu details will be for this special day.

Schedule Movers 

Do you plan to move in before the wedding and honeymoon or are you wanting move in after you return? Talk with your agent (us) and your lender so everyone can plan accordingly and get everything set ahead of time.

Closing Day

This is a very excited year for you and your spouse, lots of special dates to remember. Your lender and agent (me) will prepare you for this perfect day.

After the 
Wedding

Enjoy your honeymoon

Time to relax, you made it! Take a few moments to discuss what the next chapter of your lives look like as a married couple.

Legal name & Address

Make time to change your name at the Social Security office as well as other important place. Make sure to change your mailing address at the post office, medical and Amazon of course.

Now buy furniture 

Once your home closes you can go ahead and find the perfect furniture for your new home and life together.

Do home improvement projects that add value

Ask your Realtor (me) what improvements will add the most value to your home and for a list of our vendors to get quotes.

Send out thank you cards

Try to do this as soon as possible, this way your guest know how much you appreciated them celebrating with you both on your special day.

Homeowner

As you settle into your life as a new couple and into your new home, its important to keep an eye on the market. As your agent, we will make sure you are getting an update ever month on your homes value. As your family grows, or if you are thinking about wealth building, we will be there to help guide you along the way.
